Ernie Els Wines is champions choice at Volvo
Ernie Els Wines was invited to be the exclusive suppliers of red wine to the Volvo Champions of Golf tournament recently held at Fancourt on the picturesque Garden Route of South Africa. The tournament extends Volvo's considerable long-term involvement in world golf and it was incredibly fitting that the eventual winner, Branden Grace, was not only born and raised in the nearby town of George but also was a member of the Ernie Els & Fancourt Foundation. Ernie finished tied second with Retief Goosen.
Various Ernie Els Wines were served to players and guests throughout the tournament, as well as to the amateur players who that week simultaneously took part in the Volvo World Golf Challenge, a competition entered by almost 50,000 people worldwide as part of Volvo's global golf initiatives.
The popular favourite at the suave welcome dinner was the Ernie Els Proprietors' Blend, while the crisp and refreshing Ernie Els Sauvignon Blanc was favoured at most other functions due to the heat wave that descended on the area that week.
