Daphne's Headcovers supports EEFF

Phoenix, Arizona - Daphne's Headcovers, the original headcover company, announced they will join Ernie Els in support of the Ernie Els & Fancourt Foundation by donating a portion of proceeds from the sales of their Lion headcover which has been a fixture in Els’ bag for a number of years.

Based at 2003 Presidents Cup host venue Fancourt Hotel and Golf Estate, the Ernie Els & Fancourt Foundation supports talented young golfers from families of limited resources in South Africa, ensuring that they receive the best possible opportunities both in learning and playing the game of golf and, as importantly, in attending and passing high school.

“We’ve always been very proud to have a wonderful person like Ernie carry our Lion in his bag so to be able to donate to his foundation is very exciting,” Spicer revealed. “My late mother Daphne, our company’s namesake, advised me long ago that doing business is what we do for a living but giving back and doing our part for our communities is what we do for life. Now, as a mother of two small children, I’m thrilled to do my part and help them understand that we must do good as we’re doing well.”

Just as importantly many of them have gone on to further education after high school and are choosing other avenues in which to make a success of their lives.
