"Thank you for taking the trouble to visit this section of my website and for making a donation to Els for Autism. It is obviously a subject close to our hearts and Liezl and I know from our own experiences the impact it has on the lives of families touched by Autism. Together we are determined to make a difference.

"That is why we set up Els for Autism; to try to generate funding for scientific research aimed at understanding Autism, developing knowledge-based treatments and offering support and education for those in need.

"Many years from now people may remember me as a golfer and as a major champion. But I'd like also to be remembered as somebody who took the issue of Autism and did something with it.
