The Players Championship, 12 May 2008
This year’s Players Championship was one of those tournaments where you kind of walk away with somewhat mixed feelings. On the one hand, I’m frustrated with myself because I played well enough to win. I just had one bad hole each day which really hurt me. But on the other hand, I hit a lot of solid shots out there, in tough conditions on a real shot-maker’s golf course. That gives me some satisfaction; it tells me I’m back on track and doing the right things.

I have a week off before my next tournament, the BMW PGA Championship starting on May 22, and I’ll be spending it with the family at Wentworth. I flew back from Florida on Sunday night and landed in London on Monday morning. I haven’t made plans for the week ahead – at least, nothing concrete. But obviously I’ll work some more on my game. I said last week I wanted to win a tournament in the next month. I really feel like I’m playing well enough to do that.
